The Story

I like to jump into the river. I enjoy the feeling of the earth beneath my feet and the sun on my face. I love to put both feet forward and get my hands dirty in whatever work is before me. I don't work from 9-5, then go home and forget about you. I work to get your job done in the most efficient, creative and effective way possible. At Escarpment Communications, I am able to offer you the answers to all of your business communication needs, whether it is regarding portfolio documents, reports, newsletters, grant writing, or event planning and marketing, and social media management. I take care of the details, I get the job done and I take this stress away, so you can concentrate on getting back to business.

Hi, I am Gillian Mackey.

I have always been enthralled with the written word. I love the imagery and feelings mere words can create; how they change people's minds and spur action.

I am an honours graduate from Brock University, with a Bachelor's of Social Science in Tourism Administration and Environmental Social Sciences. From there, I pursued my passion at Niagara College where I earned my Public Relations Certificate. I have over ten years of experience working in the industry, providing press releases, event management, social media marketing, and management, and effective, impactful communications strategies and writing services. I have worked for the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, The Chamber of Commerce, Bethesda Services, Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, Niagara wineries, and local businesses, helping to ensure their messages, events or social media campaigns garnished the best attention, best anticipation and best execution possible.

With my team of professionals in graphic design, website development, public relations, and photography,  Escarpment Communications ensures your communication strategies are effective, persuasive and cutting edge.

I love what I do, and I am eager to see you succeed.

Contact me to get started on your success.
